About the Role:
Jet's Pizza in Jacksonville, FL is looking for a motivated and reliable Morning Prep team member to help us start the day strong! You'll play a key role in setting up our kitchen for success, ensuring every pizza that goes out is made with the freshest, most carefully prepped ingredients. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients including dough, sauces, vegetables, and meats for daily service
- Follow standardized recipes and prep lists to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace throughout the shift
- Properly label, date, and store all prepped food items according to food safety guidelines
- Restock prep stations and communicate inventory needs to management
- Assist with opening procedures and ensure the kitchen is ready before service begins
- Adhere to all health, safety, and food handling regulations
Requirements:
- Ability to work early morning shifts reliably and consistently
- Previous kitchen prep or food service experience preferred but not required
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently
- Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one
