Position: Education Navigator
Location: Madison, WI
In this role, you will help participants in the Wisconsin Works (W-2) Program build a path toward educational attainment, career readiness, and long-term self-sufficiency. You’ll provide education coaching, participant support, and resource navigation while using FSC’s Transition to Success (TTS) model to help individuals identify goals, overcome barriers, and develop individualized education plans.
Position Overview- Key Responsibilities (Full details on attached job description):
- Assess educational, employment, financial, and supportive service needs and develop individualized education plans using the Transition to Success (TTS) framework.
- Coach and support participants pursuing high school completion, GED/HSED, Adult Basic Education, post-secondary education, occupational training, and career pathways.
- Connect participants with educational and supportive services while coordinating closely with W-2 Case Managers and community partners.
- Build relationships with school districts, technical colleges, employers, training providers, workforce partners, and community organizations.
- Monitor progress, facilitate educational and career assessments, and maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with program and confidentiality requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree with two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in education, teaching, tutoring, workforce development, career counseling, case management, social services, or a related field
- Strong coaching, mentoring, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to build rapport with youth, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of educational systems, career pathways, workforce development, and community resources
