Position Description
The Project Manager (PM) serves as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including Owners, Developers, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors. The PM is responsible for managing the full project life cycle—including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, resource allocation, and safety performance—while ensuring exceptional customer service. The PM also supports business development efforts, including proposal preparation, marketing initiatives, and client engagement activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract, quality, and safety standardsÂ
- Support proposal and preconstruction efforts, including constructability reviews, budgeting, and procurement planningÂ
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, designers, consultants, and subcontractorsÂ
- Oversee project staffing, mentoring, and performance management to optimize team effectivenessÂ
- Lead OAC and subcontractor meetings; manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and material trackingÂ
- Monitor project financial performance, including cost reporting, forecasting, change management, and cash flowÂ
- Coordinate with field leadership to ensure alignment on schedule, quality, and safety complianceÂ
- Oversee project controls and scheduling to drive timely milestone achievementÂ
- Execute project closeout activities, including punch lists, as-builts, and final documentationÂ
- Identify and implement strategies to improve profitability and support business developmentÂ

Required QualificationsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred or equivalent experienceÂ
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management or a similar roleÂ
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore), cost management software (e.g., Sage, Timberline), and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6)Â
- OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certification preferredÂ

Preferred Experience (includes, but is not limited to):Â
- Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneouslyÂ
- Familiarity with Caribbean construction practicesÂ
- Prior involvement in business development and client relationship managementÂ

- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 poundsÂ

Compensation & Benefits Â
The base salary for this position is one component of J. Benton Construction’s total compensation package. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including a candidate’s skills, experience, education, relevant qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.
