Description

We are seeking a dynamic, full-time Practice Manager to lead Sawtooth Veterinary Services, an established veterinary hospital in Jerome, Idaho. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced people leader to make a meaningful impact by supporting a dedicated team, shaping workplace culture, driving operational excellence, and helping deliver exceptional care to our clients and their pets.

The Role

As Practice Manager, you'll serve as the operational leader of our hospital, balancing team leadership, business performance, and employee engagement. You'll partner closely with our Medical Director, veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to create an environment where people thrive and clients receive exceptional service.

What You'll Do


Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop team members
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and accountability that supports employee success
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture
• Lead through change and help teams navigate growth and operational priorities


Operations & Performance

• Oversee daily hospital operations and support efficient workflows
• Monitor key business and operational metrics to drive performance and growth
• Manage scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, and team effectiveness


Financial & Business Management

• Manage budgets, labor costs, and operational expenses
• Oversee inventory and purchasing processes
• Partner with hospital leadership to support financial performance and strategic goals
• Analyze operational metrics and implement solutions to improve results


Client Experience

• Champion an exceptional client experience at every touchpoint
• Support team members in resolving concerns and building lasting customer relationships
• Help ensure the highest standards of service and care


What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of leadership, operations management, practice management, or business management experience
• Proven success leading, coaching, and developing teams
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and operational performance
• Ability to build strong relationships and lead in a collaborative environment
• Experience in veterinary medicine, healthcare, or another service-based industry is a plus, but not required
