Job DetailsJob Location: Jupiter, FL 33478 a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } American Engineering is seeking a Dozer Operator is responsible for safely operating bulldozers and other heavy equipment to perform earthmoving, grading, land clearing, excavation support, and site preparation activities. The role requires adherence to safety regulations, equipment maintenance procedures, and project specifications to ensure efficient and high-quality work. Key Responsibilities Operate bulldozers for grading, leveling, excavating, backfilling, and site preparation. Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and construction drawings. Move soil, rock, debris, and other materials as required. Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks. Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs. Maintain accurate operating logs and inspection records. Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Work closely with supervisors, surveyors, and other equipment operators. Ensure work areas are kept safe and clean. Assist with other construction or site-development tasks as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid equipment operator certification or relevant training preferred. Proven experience operating bulldozers in construction, mining, roadwork, or land development projects. Knowledge of grading techniques and site preparation methods. Ability to read construction plans and understand grade elevations. Strong awareness of workplace safety practices. Skills & Competencies Safe operation of heavy equipment. Attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving and mechanical aptitude. Communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in varying weather conditions. Time management and productivity focus. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and operate equipment for extended periods. Ability to climb in and out of heavy equipment safely. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) occasionally. Ability to work outdoors in challenging environmental conditions. Working Conditions Construction sites, quarry operations, mining environments, or infrastructure projects. Exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and changing weather conditions. May require overtime, weekends, or shift work depending on project needs. Reports To: Site Supervisor / Construction Foreman / Equipment Manager. Qualifications
