JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for the custom headwear business, serving both the Team Sports and Promotional Products channels. This role is accountable for driving business growth, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment while ensuring the organization remains responsive to market demands and customer needs. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in headwear, apparel, promotional products, or related industries, with expertise in custom decoration methods, domestic production operations, supply chain management, and channel development. This leader will collaborate closely with sales, operations, sourcing, customer service, finance, and merchandising teams to strengthen market position, optimize operational performance, and deliver exceptional service to customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required): Develop and execute business strategies that support sustainable growth, operational effectiveness, and long-term success. Establish clear performance metrics and key performance indicators across sales, customer service, production, quality, and fulfillment. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business objectives and execution of strategic initiatives. Evaluate market conditions, customer needs, and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and competitive advantage. Support the development and expansion of both Team Sports and Promotional Products channels. Build and maintain relationships with athletic dealers, buying groups, schools, leagues, distributors, and key industry partners. Collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to ensure product offerings align with customer demand and seasonal market trends. Partner with marketing and commercial teams to strengthen brand visibility and customer engagement across target markets. Work closely with product merchandising and inventory management teams to balance product availability with customer customization requirements. Provide leadership and oversight for domestic decoration operations, including embroidery, patches, heat transfer applications, and other customization methods. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, service levels, and fulfillment performance. Partner with operations teams to optimize production processes, improve workflow efficiency, and enhance customer delivery performance. Collaborate with sourcing and supply chain teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels of core products and materials. Support the development and management of global sourcing relationships to ensure reliable product availability and supply continuity. Monitor supply chain performance and work with internal and external partners to address quality, service, and delivery challenges. Ensure compliance with applicable company policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus throughout the organization. Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities that strengthen team capability and organizational performance. Support strategic planning efforts and business initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and customer experience. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Merchandising, Operations Management, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Eight or more years of progressive leadership experience within the apparel, headwear, promotional products, consumer products, or related industries. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing, sourcing, distribution, or commercial environment. Experience working within the Team Sports channel, Promotional Products industry, or similar customer-driven markets preferred. Strong understanding of custom decoration processes, including embroidery, patches, heat transfers, digital decoration methods, and related production workflows. Knowledge of inventory management systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, and supply chain operations. Proven ability to build strategic partnerships and drive collaboration across multiple functions and stakeholders. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt effectively in a fast-paced environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Hybrid, Office: Typically, Mondays and Fridays are work from home and Tuesdays through Thursdays are on location in our Kannapolis, NC location. Time may be spent in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse. Some travel may be required. WORK HOURS: Full-Time: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM DRESS CODE: Dress appropriate.
