Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor registration, issue temporary access credentials, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access issues, policy violations, suspicious activity, and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
