Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands, solving problems, and taking pride in keeping things running smoothly? The Hillman Group is looking for a Maintenance Technician to support our distribution operations through facility upkeep, product rework, safety inspections, and general maintenance activities.

This is an ideal opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual who likes variety in their workday and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Every day brings a new challenge, from making repairs and improving facility organization to helping ensure a safe, efficient workplace for the entire team.

If you're reliable, safety-conscious, and enjoy staying active while making a visible difference, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play an important role in supporting operations across two distribution buildings by:

  • Performing general maintenance and repair work, including mounting equipment, installing fixtures, basic carpentry, and facility improvements
  • Using hand tools such as screw guns, wrenches, and other basic mechanical tools to complete daily tasks
  • Assisting with product rework by inspecting, repairing, repackaging, and preparing items for shipment
  • Conducting routine facility and safety inspections to help maintain a safe work environment
  • Responding to maintenance needs across multiple buildings and helping resolve issues quickly
  • Supporting warehouse operations and special projects as business needs require
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Communicating maintenance concerns and recommending practical solutions
  • Working independently while adapting to changing priorities throughout the day

What Makes You a Great Fit

We're looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in quality craftsmanship
  • Has experience using basic hand tools and performing general repairs
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and safety
  • Is dependable, flexible, and willing to jump in where needed
  • Communicates effectively with team members and leadership
  • Thrives in a physically active role

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in general maintenance, warehouse operations, facilities support, or other hands-on labor roles
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
  • No certifications required

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Regularly lift boxes weighing 40-60 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and move throughout the workday
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
  • Ability to travel between two distribution buildings during the workday
