Track Attendant

Overview

K1 Speed is seeking energetic and safety-focused Track Attendants to join our team at a fast-paced indoor karting venue. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that every guest has a safe, exciting, and memorable racing experience. Track Attendants oversee all on-track operations, assist guests with safety equipment, operate and maintain karts, and keep races running efficiently from start to finish.

This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a high-energy environment, enjoy working with people, and can remain calm under pressure. All employees participate in a company-wide tip-sharing program.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Prepare the track, pit area, and karts prior to opening each day
• Provide excellent customer service to all K1 Speed guests
• Enthusiastically brief new racers on proper kart operation, race flags, and all safety procedures
• Assist guests with helmets, neck braces, and other required safety equipment
• Maintain an orderly and efficient flow of racers through the pit and track areas
• Safely and efficiently load and unload racers from karts
• Supervise ongoing races and enforce all race policies and procedures
• Monitor racer behavior and respond appropriately to unsafe driving or safety concerns
• Communicate with team members to ensure races remain on schedule
• Efficiently charge, rotate, and maintain karts throughout the day
• Respond quickly and professionally to emergencies and on-track incidents
• Ensure that the pit and track areas remain clean, organized, and safe
• Perform facility cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned by management
• Perform closing duties to secure the pit and track and prepare for the following day's operation
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age with reliable transportation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to communicate effectively in front of large groups
• Must be able to adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Must be willing and able to drive the karts daily
• Must be able to remain calm under stressful situations and effectively respond to safety concerns and emergencies
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Previous customer service, sports, or leadership experience is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently
• Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment
• Ability to react quickly and safely in emergency situations
