Job Summary:

This role serves as the primary owner of inventory, material flow, warehouse organization, receiving, and shipping activities. The Warehouse and Materials Coordinator ensures that production teams have the right materials at the right time while maintaining accurate inventory records and efficient warehouse operations within SAP.
 
Time Utilization:
 
Normal business hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm. Schedule flexibility may be required to meet internal and external customer needs, including occasional overtime. Nominal travel may be involved.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

1.    Own day-to-day warehouse, inventory, receiving, and shipping operations.

2.    Maintain warehouse location systems, shelving organization, and inventory identification methods to support efficient material storage and retrieval.

3.    Manage stocked inventory, kanban materials, and shop supplies, including replenishment activities to support production requirements.

4.    Receive incoming materials and equipment, verify quantities and condition, and process transactions within SAP.

5.    Organize, store, and maintain inventory to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and traceability.

6.    Pull, stage, and deliver materials to production work areas in support of manufacturing schedules.

7.    Coordinate and process outbound shipments, including packaging, documentation, and carrier arrangements.

8.    Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts to ensure inventory integrity.

9.    Keep warehouse, stockrooms, and storage areas organized, safe, and efficient.

10.    Identify and implement improvements to material flow, inventory control, and warehouse processes.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma and three years of relevant warehouse, inventory, logistics, or material management experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and demonstrated aptitude.

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Strong organizational and inventory control skills
  • Ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 75 pounds

Computer Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to accurately process inventory, receiving, and shipping transactions within an ERP system.  Experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver’s license required. Ability to obtain a passport may be required for occasional travel.
