Position Overview

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support students in a growing school community in Florida.

This opportunity currently involves supporting a 10th-grade student, allowing the School Psychologist to provide focused, individualized support while collaborating closely with educators and other members of the student's educational team.

The school community is also experiencing a growing haitian population, making strong cultural awareness, communication, and collaboration skills especially valuable in supporting students and families from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide school-based psychological services to support student academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development.

  • Conduct and interpret psychoeducational assessments and evaluations as needed.

  • Participate in eligibility determinations and IEP meetings.

  • Develop recommendations based on assessment results and student needs.

  • Monitor student progress and provide appropriate interventions and supports.

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, related service providers, and families.

  • Provide consultation regarding behavioral, academic, and social-emotional concerns.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and assessment records.

  • Support a culturally responsive and inclusive educational environment.

  • Follow district policies, professional standards, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

  • Master's, specialist, or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.

  • Valid North Carolina School Psychologist credential or eligibility.

  • Experience working with school-aged students is a plus.

  • Strong assessment, evaluation, and report-writing skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with students and families from diverse backgrounds.

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus, particularly when supporting the school's diverse student population.
