Primary Location: United States (US) - North Carolina  - Kernersville   

 

As a Paint Technician with John Deere in Kernersville, NC, you will:

Perform paint-related operations in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.  Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:

  • Perform all duties safely and continuously promote safety improvement.
  • Performance of all duties related to the paint line to include but not limited to (sanding, washing, masking, painting, touch-up, etc.)
  • Application of paint (both primer and topcoat) to bare metal components using air assisted electrostatic, conventional spray guns and robotic systems.
  • Operation of robotic paint systems.
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance on spray equipment to assure proper performance.
  • Be able to produce a high-quality paint finished product at high production levels.
  • Responsible for all paperwork in the area (i.e., weldment paperwork, QA documentation)
  • Performance of any assembly operations required prior to or after the painting process.
  • Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

 

 

These positions are for second (2:30 pm to 11:00 pm) and/or third shift (10:30 pm to 7:00 am)

 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have at least one of the following:
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
    • At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
  • Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions.
  • Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).
