Responsibilities & Requirements

The Shift Supervisor Public Safety Dispatch ensures the effective and efficient operation of public safety dispatch services to support the safety of patients, staff, and visitors across Kettering Health facilities. This role oversees daily dispatch activities, provides guidance to dispatch personnel, and ensures compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.High school diploma or equivalent.Three years of experience in public safety dispatch or emergency communications.Valid Ohio driver's license.Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).LEADS Terminal Agency Coordinator certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).Public Safety Telecommunicator certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).

Preferred Qualifications

Post-secondary coursework in computer operations, radio communication, public safety, or dispatching. Supervisory experience in a dispatch or public safety communications environment. Additional certifications as may be required by the 9-1-1 Director or regulatory agencies.
