Shipping/Receiving Clerk (Scheduler) 

Shipping
• Interface with Customer Care to ensure accuracy of shipment schedule
• Schedule outbound trucks
• Stage and scan materials for shipment
• Prepare shipping documents: bills of lading, packing lists
• Maintain shipping information in ERP system and paper filing system
• Inspect outbound trucks
• Load and secure materials in trucks

Receiving
• Interface with Purchasing to confirm expected inbound shipments
• Unload trucks
• Verify receipts against purchase orders
• Properly label and store materials
• Record receipts in ERP

Warehouse Management
• Work with team members to organize warehouse and improve material flow
• Develop and maintain Kanban and visual systems
• Quarantine non-conforming material
• Perform monthly inventory count
• Move materials according to FIFO
• Support safe warehouse operations in accordance with site requirements


The successful candidate will have a high school diploma and 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing or warehousing operations; familiarity with Lean manufacturing and kanban; computer savvy; possess good interpersonal and teambuilding skills; a desire to be an engaged employee owner; a desire to grow and expand skills/knowledge in job function; and a reputation as an individual with good decision making ability and judgment.   

Additional requirements:
• Possess valid driver’s license
• Maintain a safe/clean driving record
• Ability to pass an Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration physical
• Ability to successfully complete industrial power equipment training
