The UHS Corporate Advertising Department is hiring a Senior Manager - Content Development to develop content plans and advise on content strategy for hospital/system marketing campaigns and initiatives, blogs, traditional print, digital messaging, videos and beyond (in alignment with marketing director, facility writer, design and digital teams). Â

Key Responsibilities include:
- Edit/review content for corporate, acute care and behavioral health projects; ensures consistency and accuracy of tone, style and legal guidelines
- Contribute to development of high-level corporate initiatives such as annual reports, newsletters, advertisements and publications
- Creative thinker who leads or participates in the development of brand messaging, taglines and headlines for facilities and service line campaigns
- Contribute to development of naming and brand identity for new facilities, or rebrands of existing facilities, programs and initiatives
- Manage and mentor a team of writers and freelance staff; manages facility assignments/workload across team; creates and shares tools and resources to support writers’ creative process
- Manage/lead team meetings, trainings, process change initiatives, and provides constructive feedback and direction on reviewed materials; develops and shares best practices with team
- Lead content team on appropriate and constructive use of approved AI while maintaining high copy standards
- Serve as a key leader and ambassador integrating teams and driving collaboration, creation of top-notch work and a culture of excellence across the Marketing & Communications function, interfacing with client facility leadership and local marketing representatives

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 8 -10 years' experience in healthcare marketing required.Â
- Expert knowledge of AP Style
- Mastery of current copywriting techniques and standards, including appropriate use of AI
- Experience with current digital content trends/channels, specifically SEO/AEO optimization
- Strong knowledge of technical tools, including Outlook and, ideally, Adobe Workfront; some SEMrush knowledge helpful; ability to learn new platforms/digital tools and share know-how with team essential
- Superior writing skills with experience and expertise across all marketing channels
- Exceptional copy editing and proofreading skills
- Strong conceptual abilities for developing strategic content to carry through multi-channel marketing tactics
- Creative thinker with experience coming up with and advocating for new brand content and initiatives for a wide range of facilities
- Effective collaboration across digital and design teams
