2nd shift Production Supervisor – 84 Lumber Components

Job Summary

84 Lumber Components is looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a team of approximately 15 associates. Warehouse or production leadership experience is a great fit for this role, and previous component manufacturing experience is not required. Training is available, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

  • Oversee daily production and workflow for assigned areas.
  • NO PAPERWORK for 2nd shift
  • Monitor plant efficiency and work load
  • Work alongside the team when needed to meet production goals.
  • Learn each position within the plant and ensure work is completed correctly.
  • Set up jigs according to shop drawings.
  • Complete quality audits and address quality concerns.
  • Train associates on assigned jobs and production procedures.
  • Keep production organized and moving throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and reinforce safety procedures.
  • Communicate staffing, production, quality, and equipment needs to plant management.

Responsibilities

Responsible for plant efficiency and dollars per hour numbers

Understand how to perform every position in the plant efficiently and correctly

Maintain a safe work environment

Set up jigs according to shop drawings.

Complete Quality Audits.

Train department area associates

 


Qualifications

Able to read and write in their primary language.

Able to stand for long periods of time.

Able to lift 50 pounds.

Able to read or able to learn to read a shop drawing.

Basic math skills
