Broadstep Behavioral Health is seeking an organized, dependable, and professional Administrative Assistant / Front Desk team member to join our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility in Kingstree, South Carolina.
This is more than a traditional receptionist position. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, families, vendors, applicants, and callers while also providing important administrative support to our facility managers and leadership team.
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, stays organized when there are multiple things happening at once, communicates professionally, and takes pride in making sure the details are handled.

What You Will Do:
- Greet visitors, families, vendors, applicants, and others entering the facility in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer incoming calls, route callers to the appropriate department, and take accurate messages.
- Manage visitor sign-in/sign-out procedures and help ensure facility access and security procedures are followed.
- Receive and distribute mail, packages, deliveries, and correspondence.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to facility managers and department leaders.
- Prepare, format, proofread, scan, file, and organize documents, reports, forms, and correspondence.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, and preparing meeting materials.
- Maintain administrative files, spreadsheets, logs, trackers, contact lists, and other records.
- Assist with data entry, document organization, and routine administrative follow-up.
- Help compile and organize documentation for audits, surveys, licensing reviews, accreditation activities, and other facility needs.
- Monitor office supplies and assist with ordering and maintaining an organized front-office environment.
- Support special projects and other administrative needs across the facility.
- Handle confidential resident, employee, and organizational information with discretion and professionalism.
What You Will Need
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in an administrative assistant, receptionist, office support, customer service, or similar role.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Professional telephone and in-person communication skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and interruptions while remaining professional and accurate.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple managers and departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
Preferred:
- An associate degree in business administration, healthcare administration, office administration, or a related field.
- Two or more years of administrative or office-support experience.
- Experience working in healthcare, behavioral health, residential treatment, social services, or another regulated environment.
- Previous experience supporting multiple managers or departments.
Clearance Requirements
- Successful completion of:Ā Criminal background check (state and federal, as applicable);Ā Drug screening andĀ Health screening/physical (as required)
- Valid driverās license with acceptable driving record (if operating company vehicles).
