Wage Range: $26.16 - $41.82 per hour

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary
Provides high level, complex administrative support to one or more Directors/Managers of a major department, unit or service. Represents management and/or unit's goals and interests and provides and/or coordinates functions involved with unit programs and services, budget, space, office and records management, etc.

 


Primary Duties

  1. Provides direct administrative support to supervisor; coordinates office operations; maintains Medical Staff meeting calendar; coordinates arrangements for meetings including catering and agendas; screens, prioritizes and distributes mail, per department standards, orders office supplies; create Plant Ops and IT work orders as needed.
  2. Assists in devising procedures to ensure adherence to Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, organizational policies and industry standards, per department standards.
  3. Obtains and summarizes information from a variety of sources to prepare reports.
  4. Manages and monitors documentation that expires including but not limited to medical licenses, malpractice insurance, immunizations for providers.
  5. Processes ED call invoices for several specialties and coordinates and distributes ED on call schedule, as needed.
  6. Promotes quality public relations between the practitioners, other organizational departments, and the community, per department standards.
  7. Serves as liaison between supervisor and other staff members or departments, transmitting information and assignments and requesting status, per department standards.
  8. Processes applications for medical students, residents, allied health professional students and observers to enable them to perform rotations at EvergreenHealth.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

License, Certification, Education or Experience

REQUIRED for the position:

  • High School graduation or equivalent
  • Depending on organizational location of position, 2 years of progressively responsible experience in office, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work, preferably in medical setting.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Working knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel and Power Point) as well as general office procedures and office equipment (copiers, faxes, printers)

 

DESIRED for the position:

  • Associate’s degree
  • Completion of courses in a secretarial program or similar experience
  • Experience with software, as per department needs (MD Staff, LaborWorkx)
