Job DetailsJob Location: Give Kids The World - Kissimmee, FL 34746Position Type: Full TimeSUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE The Housekeeping Manager supports the Executive Housekeeper in leading a consistent, safe, and mission-focused housekeeping operation across the Village. This role is responsible for the daily readiness of villas and assigned housekeeping areas, with direct leadership of Housekeeping Attendants, Housekeeping Leads, Upholstery Maintenance Attendants, and Housepersons. Through strong daily oversight, inspections, coaching, and follow-through, the Housekeeping Manager helps ensure villas are clean, safe, well-maintained, stocked, and show-ready so wish families experience the care, comfort, and reliability they expect from the Village.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Daily Housekeeping Operations and Villa Readiness Lead the daily housekeeping operation for villas, assigned areas, and related back-of-house spaces, ensuring work is prioritized, assigned, inspected, and completed to Village standards. Ensure villas are cleaned, stocked, inspected, and prepared to meet Village standards for safety, cleanliness, presentation, and guest arrival readiness. Prioritize villas show readiness by identifying maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and presentation concerns before they affect the guest experience. Use housekeeping systems, inspection tools, work orders, email, and other technology to track villa status, follow up on open items, and communicate operational needs. Work with leaders in other departments to solve operational issues, remove barriers, and support timely resolution of villas, guests, staffing, supplies, or service-related concerns. Partner with Engineering, Guest Services, Support Services, and other Village teams to support timely room readiness, special requests, volunteer projects, Village events, and operational priorities. Team Leadership, Coaching, and Accountability Provide direct leadership, coaching, training, and accountability for Housekeeping Attendants, Housekeeping Leads, Upholstery Maintenance Attendants, Housepersons, and other assigned Housekeeping storytellers. Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with storytellers to reinforce expectations, address concerns, support development, and maintain alignment with department objectives. Set clear daily priorities, assign work, monitor progress, and follow up to ensure work is completed safely, consistently, and on time. Coach storytellers on quality standards, productivity, safety practices, guest-service expectations, department objectives, core values, and mission-centered behaviors. Support performance documentation, recognition, corrective coaching, team communication, and annual review preparation in partnership with the Executive Housekeeper. Support other Housekeeping leaders during absences, peak operating periods, special projects, or as needed to ensure continuity of leadership and department coverage.  Training, Standards, and Continuous Improvement Train storytellers on villas cleaning standards, safety procedures, guest-readiness expectations, equipment use, chemical handling, and department processes. Reinforce consistent execution of housekeeping procedures across shifts, teams, and assigned areas. Identify gaps in training, process, staffing, tools, or supplies and recommend practical improvements to the Executive Housekeeper. Use inspection results, guest feedback, work-order trends, and team observations to improve quality, efficiency, and accountability. Promote teamwork, pride in workmanship, and a culture of continuous improvement that supports the Village mission. Inspections, Safety, and Guest Response Conduct routine inspections of villas, equipment, storage areas, and work practices to ensure safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards are met. Make safety a visible priority by identifying hazards, reinforcing safe work habits, reporting concerns promptly, and ensuring storytellers follow approved procedures. Respond to guest concerns, villas issues, and special requests with urgency, professionalism, and care. Escalate operational risks, recurring quality concerns, staffing challenges, or guest-impacting issues to the Executive Housekeeper with recommended solutions. Administration and Communication Prepare clear and timely email, system, and verbal communication related to staffing, villas readiness, inspections, guest needs, work orders, supplies, and operational updates. Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, supply needs, daily assignments, opening and closing procedures, and department documentation. Manage and maintain the daily room map to support villa assignments, room readiness, team deployment, guest arrivals, special requests, and operational planning. Support in preparing and monitoring budget, supply controls, invoice follow-up, purchasing needs, and vendor relationships in partnership with the Executive Housekeeper. Coordinate and monitor contract labor support, including daily assignments, communication, quality expectations, coverage needs, and follow-up on performance or service concerns. Support volunteer group projects, Village events, and special department initiatives by coordinating housekeeping needs, staffing support, supplies, setup, cleanup, and follow-through. All other duties as assigned PHYSICAL DEMANDS OUTSIDE NORMAL WORK ENVIRONMENT Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, crouch, balance, and be able to use hands/arms for extended periods. Able o lift and move objects weighing up to 35 lbs. Able to work in outdoor weather conditions. Able to work flexible days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and changing schedules based on the needs of a multi-shift, seven-day per week resort operation. QualificationsSKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and hold a diverse housekeeping team accountable in a fast-paced operation. Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and by email. Computer savvy with the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scheduling tools, work-order systems, inspection tools, and other operational systems. Able to work independently, make sound decisions, conduct inspections, follow through on issues, and support department objectives. Great attention to detail. Excellent organizational and administrative skills and ability to manage and execute tasks in a dynamic environment. Able to establish effective working relationships by adjusting approaches to meet the needs od a diverse team. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, tact, professionalism, and integrity. Must meet acceptable attendance and punctuality requirements which are essential functions for the role. Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including a battery-operated golf cart. High School Diploma 5+ years of experience in an operations department. 3 years of supervisory experience. Bilingual, English and Spanish. Preferred Requirements  Experience in a resort, hotel, or large campus environment preferred. Previous experience supporting staff training programs, quality inspections, floor-care operations, or room-readiness programs preferred. Familiarity with property-management systems, scheduling, or work-order systems preferred.
