Position Summary: 

The HR Coordinator plays a key operational role in supporting day-to-day human resources functions, ensuring efficient delivery of HR services across the organization. This position partners with HR leaders, managers, and employees to execute core HR processes, including onboarding, employee data management, compliance tracking, and employee engagement initiatives.

 

The HR Coordinator operates with a moderate level of independence, serving as a reliable resource for employees and leaders while ensuring alignment with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This role contributes to a positive employee experience by supporting consistent, compliant, and service-oriented HR operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary HR resource for employees and leaders by interpreting and applying HR policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring consistent communication and a positive employee experience.
  • Coordinate core HR operations, including onboarding, employee data management, HRIS updates, licensure and employment eligibility tracking, and maintenance of personnel records to ensure accuracy, confidentiality and compliance/survey readiness.
  • Support talent and performance processes by assisting with job description development, administering performance evaluations, and supporting compensation and salary administration activities.
  • Act as a liaison between employees, leadership, and corporate HR functions (including benefits), addressing routine inquiries, facilitating issue resolution, and escalating more complex matters as appropriate.
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle and engagement activities, including orientation programs, employee transfers, recognition initiatives, and events that support organizational culture and retention.
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports, audits and documentation, ensuring timely and accurate data to support compliance, operational effectiveness, and decision-making.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:           

High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

 

Minimum Experience:         

Three (3) years of experience in human resources, scheduling, timekeeping, or a related administrative function. Experience supporting onboarding, employee records management, and HRIS systems. Working knowledge of HR policies, compliance requirements, and employee relations practices. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
