What You’ll Do

This role combines leadership, project execution, rigging expertise, and customer interaction, making it ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of complex jobs from planning through completion. In this role, you will:

  • Lead and supervise crews supporting heavy lift, rigging, machinery moving, and specialized transportation projects.
  • Direct daily field operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality execution.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to identify and resolve operational challenges that impact productivity or scheduling.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure all lifting, rigging, gantry, jacking, and machinery moving equipment is operating safely and effectively.
  • Communicate directly with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders in the field.
  • Participate in pre-project planning meetings and assist with job execution strategies.
  • Lead daily planning discussions and communicate work plans, expectations, and safety requirements to project crews.
  • Maintain project documentation, inspections, and records of daily activities.
  • Ensure proper care, maintenance, and utilization of cranes, rigging equipment, and specialty lifting systems.

What You Bring

Required:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices and equipment operation
  • 5+ years of experience in rigging, machinery moving, crane operations, construction, or related heavy industrial work
  • Previous leadership, crew lead, superintendent, or foreman experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to direct daily field operations and coordinate personnel, equipment, and materials
  • Ability to maintain accurate project documentation and daily reports
  • Flexible schedule with willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check

Preferred:

  • Experience with cranes and rigging operations
  • Knowledge of hydraulic gantries, hydraulic jacking systems, skates, and machinery moving equipment
  • Experience leading heavy lift and specialty rigging projects
  • Familiarity with lift planning, project execution, and jobsite logistics
  • Working knowledge of industry safety standards and best practices
  • Experience coordinating with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders in the field
