PRN CT Technologist – PTO & Sick Time Coverage
Location: University of Maryland Charles Regional Imaging
Schedule: PRN | Flexible Coverage | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Seeking a flexible PRN CT Technologist to provide PTO and sick time coverage within a busy outpatient imaging center. In this role, you will combine advanced technical expertise with exceptional patient care to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Responsibilities include performing CT examinations efficiently and accurately while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, service excellence, and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols.
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to radiation safety standards and best practices.
- Prepare, position, and monitor patients during imaging procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
- Review patient histories and verify exam appropriateness prior to scanning.
- Administer contrast materials as appropriate and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to support quality patient care.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
- ARRT registered (R), (CT) and (MR)
- Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
- Active state licensure, where applicable
Prior Experience:
- 0 - 2+ years of experience as a Cat Scan (CT) TechnologistÂ
Special Qualifications:
- Knowledge of CT procedures and standards
- Skill in operation of CT equipment
- Customer service background and focus
