Description

  

The Value Stream Manager is responsible for the overall performance of an assigned value stream, leading all production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Value Stream Manager directs Supervisors and team members to ensure resources are aligned with customer demand, operational priorities, and business goals.

This position serves as the operational leader for the value stream and is accountable for execution, continuous improvement, employee development, and achieving key performance targets. 


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead all activities within the value stream to achieve      safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity objectives.
  • Manage resource allocation, staffing, capacity, and      production priorities to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure execution of the production plan and adherence      to operational schedules.
  • Address production constraints and implement solutions      that improve performance and workflow.

People Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and coach Supervisors and frontline      teams.
  • Build a culture of accountability, engagement,      teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop leadership capability and succession plans      within the value stream.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures,      and safety standards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive Lean Manufacturing principles and operational      excellence initiatives.
  • Use performance metrics and operational data to      identify opportunities and eliminate waste.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain,      Maintenance, and other functions to improve value stream results.

Business Performance

  • Maintain accountability for key value stream metrics,      including: 
    • Safety
    • Quality
    • On-Time Delivery
    • Productivity
    • Cost
    • Inventory
    • Employee Engagement


Consistently, regularly and dependably at work and on time.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in aerospace or a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading supervisors, improving operational performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
