The Service Supervisor is responsible for supporting front-end operations by providing leadership, ensuring outstanding customer service, and maintaining efficient workflow throughout the store's service areas. This position supervises front-end associates, assists with customer concerns, supports operational execution, and helps achieve sales, service, and productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service- Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a positive shopping experience.
- Assist customers with questions, concerns, refunds, exchanges, and service-related issues.
- Resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
- Promote company programs, services, and customer loyalty initiatives.
- Serve as a role model for customer service excellence.
- Supervise daily front-end activities, including check stands, self-checkout, and customer service functions.
- Monitor customer traffic and deploy associates as needed to maintain efficient service levels.
- Ensure proper execution of cash handling, register operations, and loss prevention procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, and shift transition responsibilities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe customer service environment.
- Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to front-end associates.
- Assist with training and onboarding new employees.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
- Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Support adherence to company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace safety requirements, and operational procedures.
- Monitor proper handling of cash, transactions, refunds, and sensitive customer information.
- Support audit readiness and compliance initiatives.
- Identify and communicate operational concerns to store management.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation as required.
- Support front-end productivity and labor goals.
- Assist in minimizing cash shortages and operational losses.
- Monitor service levels to drive customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Support execution of promotional programs and store initiatives.
- Contribute to achieving overall store sales and operational objectives.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail, customer service, or grocery experience required.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate employees in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and more with assistance when necessary.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
- Ability to work flexible hours as business needs require.
