Security Team Lead (Technical & Compliance)Â
Why Digacore?Â
We're a fast-paced, people-first MSP with:Â
- Real career growthÂ
- Autonomy to own projects and make decisionsÂ
- A collaborative culture (we back each other up, no egos)Â
- Paid certifications, ongoing training, and leadership that invests in your successÂ
- Recognized as one of New Jersey's Top Workplaces for 2026Â
About the RoleÂ
The Security Team Lead is a hands-on technical role responsible for leading day-to-day security operations, guiding our Security Analysts, and driving Digacore's compliance initiatives (HIPAA, SOC 2, cyber insurance requirements, and related frameworks).Â
What You'll DoÂ
- Provide day-to-day technical direction and hands-on support to Security Analysts, working incidents and investigations directly alongside themÂ
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex security incidents and high-risk situationsÂ
- Own and drive compliance initiatives including HIPAA, SOC 2, cyber insurance requirements, and related frameworks — audits, documentation, and remediation trackingÂ
- Conduct security assessments and help clients identify opportunities to reduce risk and improve security postureÂ
- Advise clients on cybersecurity best practices, compliance requirements, and security strategyÂ
- Own and optimize security platforms including Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Huntress, email security, vulnerability management, and related toolsÂ
- Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement following security eventsÂ
- Improve security processes, documentation standards, reporting, and operational efficiencyÂ
- Partner with Account Managers and leadership on security improvement opportunitiesÂ
- Help evolve and expand Digacore's security services as client needs and threats changeÂ
- Mentor and guide Security Analysts on technical growth (light day-to-day coaching, not formal people management)Â
What You BringÂ
- 4+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in an MSP, MSSP, healthcare, regulated industry, or similar environmentÂ
- Direct experience supporting compliance programs (HIPAA, SOC 2, cyber insurance requirements, or similar frameworks) — audits, evidence gathering, remediationÂ
- Strong technical depth in Microsoft security technologies, identity management, endpoint security, and incident responseÂ
- Comfortable being the senior technical hand on deck, not just directing othersÂ
- Experience conducting risk assessments and security reviewsÂ
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and decision-making skillsÂ
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain security and compliance concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesÂ
- Strong documentation habits and process-oriented mindsetÂ
- Willingness and ability to work full-time on-site at our officeÂ
Perks & BenefitsÂ
- Nationwide medical, dental, life, and LTD insurance (we cover LTD + life 100%)Â
- Generous PTO + Mental Health DaysÂ
- 401(k) with company matchÂ
- HSA & FSA optionsÂ
- Paid training & certification assistanceÂ
- $500 sign-on bonusÂ
- Quarterly team events and career coachingÂ
