Responsibilities for safety technician:
- Calibrate and maintain gas monitors used in the safety department
- Participate in emergency response activities
- Examine the work area to assure that all required work has been completed and is in compliance with the contract requirements
- Maintains cleanliness of the work center and around assigned work area
Qualifications for safety technician:
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, crouch, kneel, lift, carry, balance and reach above shoulder level, push or pull weight up to fifty (50) pounds
- Pass all required physicals such as Hazmat, respirator
- Must be qualified to wear respirators (SCBA)
- Must be able to work all shifts, and/or weekends as required
- Must be able to enter and move about in confined spaces and wear personal protective equipment
- Valid driver's license
