The Warehouse Clerk performs various warehouse activities including receiving product and ensuring invoice accuracy of incoming shipments by confirming that shipments include appropriate and undamaged items.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive product deliveries and ensure order and invoice accuracy
  • Move shipments into the appropriate locations after released to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Ensure security of the building by verifying drivers at the receiving door
  • Ensure exterior doors are locked and secure when not in use
  • Face product and rearrange product on aisles as needed to fit all product in inventory locations
  • Order preparation, staging and loading of product
  • Stack, Corner, shrink-wrap and band product for shipments as needed for Domestic and International Shipments
  • Pull and ship orders that come from Oracle picks, ensuring inventory accuracy of shipments.
  • Record and sign for shipments, unload trucks and compare information from bill of lading against the actual shipment to verify completeness
  • Prepare packing lists, commercial invoices, shippers letter of instruction and BOL
  • Use appropriate carrier systems and tools to ship product
  • Run picks as needed
  • Manage warehouse aisle inventory while pulling orders to optimize the space
  • Maintains department cleanliness and provides exceptional customer service in all interactions
  • Ensure warehouse, exterior dock area, office space and break areas are tidied up at end of the day

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Must have good verbal and written skills
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Current forklift certification is required; stand-up forklift preferred
  • Motorized (electric) pallet jack certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred

Education and Experience 

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years warehouse or Materials Handling experience
  • Oracle experience preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age

Travel Requirements

  • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
  • Must be able to work safely around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to lift 80 lbs.
