Job Description

Contract Specialist responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Draft and review multiple types of contract agreements;
  • Manage contract data for timeliness, accuracy, and quality;
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date contract files;
  • Negotiate and correspondence with subcontractors and clients;
  • Monitor contract compliance;
  • Assist with responding to client questionnaires as part of the vendor setup process and addressing legal related questions from clients;
  • Negotiates with customers to draw up client contracts: Negotiating, extensions, terminations, and renegotiating contracts;
  • Evaluates or monitors contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance with contractual obligations;
  • Approves or rejects requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules in accordance with internal policy;

  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel, Powerpoint, and Internet research;
  • Solid understanding and demonstration of client confidentiality;
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events;
  • Critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems;

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree and at least two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Paralegal degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of FAR & DFARS rules and regulations;
  • Experience in negotiation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. with additional hours, as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
