Learn more about us at https://llac.org/ How You Will Make an Impact The Professional Learning Coordinator will provide ongoing coaching and support for employees to increase student achievement and engagement. This position is responsible for supporting school leadership in the development, coordination, and evaluation of Organizational implementation of professional learning and development programs and opportunities. This position will collaborate with varied Learning and Development designees and regional teams to support Professional Learning Communities (PLC) and networks for educators to engage in a meaningful teaching experience. Support the planning, development, implementation of the new teacher training program Provide ongoing coaching and support for staff to increase student achievement and engagement Plan, implement, and evaluate PLC's at both the site and regional level Coordinate with regional instruction specialists and organizational Learning and Development team members to ensure new teacher training is completed within the designated timeline Support the planning and coordination of professional development opportunities aligned with site, regional, and organizational improvement goals and initiatives Provide support to regional instruction specialists through professional development opportunities Work collaboratively with organizational Learning and Development designees and regional teams to research and design professional development content Support team in the construction of high-quality professional development presentations that engage adult learners Gather, analyze, and interpret data to identify professional learning opportunities to increase the quality and effectiveness of instruction Support the management of an online teacher training and development platform (e.g. MYLO, LMS, Intranet, website, etc.) with links to professional development resources and opportunities Maintain a calendar of teacher trainings and professional development events Facilitate the preparation of correspondence, newsletters, marketing materials, and other materials related to professional development Support the development and monitoring of systems to track teacher training and development Maintain program files, keep accurate records, and complete reports as necessary Attend meetings, workshops, etc. for the purpose of conveying and/or receiving information to develop or enhance skills Administrative duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to Time SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage, coordinate, supervise, coach and direct the hiring, training, or performance development of team members and oversee their daily activities. Knowledge of public K-12th Teacher Induction Programs Knowledgeable about instructional design methodology and application for effective adult learning Knowledge of a variety of assessment tools and data analytics Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking and writing so others will understand Great communicator who builds mutual trust and credibility at all levels of an organization Presentation skills. Masters degree preferred Valid California Clear Teaching Credential required. Valid California Administrative Services Credential preferred Prior teaching experience required Experience in a Leadership/Management role Diverse experience in public education. Experience using technology for facilitating learning Experience with e-learning software applications (i.e. Articulate) or Learning Management Systems Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) TRAVEL: Ability to travel in performance of job duties is required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Mental Demands: high workflow management, high project coordination, high people engagement Finger Dexterity: using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
