Job Description
PIPETTE CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN
As a Pipette Calibration Technician at Quantus, Inc., you will deliver NIST Traceable calibration, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting services for pipettes, bottle top dispensers, and other volumetric devices at customer facilities throughout the region. Working under the guidance of the Pipette Calibration Team Lead, you will uphold the highest standards of documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and customer professionalism on every site visit. This role is well-suited for a technically precise, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in the accuracy of their work and wants to grow within a performance-oriented life sciences service organization.
Job Responsibilities
This position requires the Pipette Calibration Technician to provide onsite services, such as:
- •Perform NIST Traceable calibration, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of pipettes, bottle top dispensers, and other volumetric devices in accordance with established calibration standards and Quantus SOPs
- •Support calibration of general laboratory equipment including analytical balances, freezers, incubators, refrigerators, and stability chambers as assigned
- •Ensure accurate and complete measurement data reporting on all service documentation, following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and applicable GMP standards
- •Adhere to Quantus, Inc. SOPs, customer-specific procedures, and all applicable industry best practices on every customer site visit
- •Maintain a professional, customer-focused presence at all times; enhance customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and leveraging Quantus's technical expertise to support their calibration programs
- •Communicate effectively with customers regarding service activities, out-of-tolerance findings, and any equipment concerns identified during service visits
- •Transition efficiently between task types throughout the service day; demonstrate initiative and proactively identify opportunities for process or service improvements
- •Comply with all Safety Sensitive standards; maintain the full, unimpaired skills and judgment required for safe execution of calibration services
- •Maintain company-provided fleet vehicle in accordance with Quantus fleet policies; depart from home directly to customer sites
- •Complete all required training and qualification programs; maintain current calibration certifications as required by role
Requirements
Experience: Seeking individuals with 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Life Sciences Services Industry or a related field. Ideal candidates will have proven skills in the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment, underpinned by a solid technical background.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical. The role requires the ability to efficiently switch between tasks, communicate effectively with team members and clients, and uphold a professional demeanor at all times.
Initiative and Organizational Skills: Demonstrates initiative, strong planning, and organizational skills are essential for managing a varied workload effectively.
Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to Safety Sensitive standards is required, ensuring the technician possesses the necessary skills and judgment for safe job execution.
Physical Requirements: The job involves lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various physical positions, such as bending, kneeling, sitting, and standing. Physical fitness and agility are important.
Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is a must, with a company fleet vehicle provided for transportation. Technicians will depart from their homes, and a clean driving record is essential.
