The main mission of the City Rescue Mission of Lansing, since its founding, has remained to teach the Word of God as found in the Christian Bible (Romans 10:13-15), edify and equip the saints to be committed followers of Jesus Christ and His teachings (Ephesians 4:11-13), and present an authentic representation of traditional, Biblical Christianity (Philippians 1:9-11). Job Overview:
The Driver
picks up donations from various stores, drives, and facilities as assigned. The Driver is to be a positive representation of the City Rescue Mission and the Gospel of Christ throughout the city.The Driver must maintain a punctual schedule and consistently arrive at each location as expected. They are to assist with sorting, organizing, and putting away donations at food service facilities and the donation center as needed. The Driver must be able to work across Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word documents quickly and efficiently to ensure accurate data, timely pick-ups, and an organized scheduled. Â

Responsibilities and Duties:Â
- Represent the City Rescue Mission across the Community in a Christ Honoring way Â
- Pick-up donations across the community as scheduled/assigned
- Follow ServSafe/Health Department rules and guidelines when handling food donationsÂ
- Maintain accurate records of pick-ups and
issued receipts and a calendar of pick-ups. - Communicate with donors, scheduling pick-ups for drives/various donations as needed Â
- Consistently follow all driving lawsÂ
- Move donations between City Rescue Mission facilities as needed/assignedÂ
- Intake, Organize, Process, and Track donations at the Donation Center and Offsite Kitchen as needed Â
- Ensure mission vehicles are clean, orderly, and in good repairÂ
- Deliver, empty, retrieve, and track donation barrelsÂ
- Show the love of Christ, be ready to share the gospel, and pray with guests
regularlyÂ
Qualifications:Â
- High School Diploma- Required  Â
- Driver's License and clean driving record- RequiredÂ
- 1+ Years Driver Experience-
PreferredÂ
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Suite- RequiredÂ
SkillsÂ
- Ability to maintain a strict schedule with many moving partsÂ
- Ability to drive company vehicles in a safe and respectful mannerÂ
- Highly organized and very punctual Â
- Ability to respectfully interact with guests, volunteers no matter their background, temperament, preferences, or life choicesÂ

EnvironmentÂ
The Donation Driver will need to be able to consistently work in a noisy and distraction-filled environment. The Driver’s task will occasionally require them to work in low temperatures, high temperatures, outdoor elements (e.g. rain, wind, snow), and small/enclosed spaces.Â

The below listed abilities are required to be able to complete the essential duties of the role:Â
The Donation Driver will need to be able to navigate stairs- quickly and proficiently navigating
up to 3
flights of stairs whenever needed. They will constantly need to be able to lift 50lbs in all direction. They will need to be able to complete 1
hour of physically taxing work without a break and stand or walk for 1 hours without sitting down.Â

The Donation Driver will need to be able to constantly complete visual scans of indoor/outdoor areas in varying levels of light. They will need to occasionally complete tasks with repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. They will need to be able to constantly communicate clearly with others to exchange information
