Job Overview:
This role is vital to the Success of the City Rescue Mission.
The
Food Service Coordinator
oversees the service of the meal to the guests of their assigned facility, managing volunteers and guest cleaning crews to ensure the cafeteria and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized properly. Shifts begin and end at the offsite kitchen where they complete meal prep, cleaning, and organizing tasks before delivering the meal  The Coordinator must have an excellent grasp on food safety, multitask well, and be able to maintain a clean and organized workstation under pressure. The Coordinator must be able to enforce food safety rules and City Rescue Mission policies to
volunteers and guests in a consistent and caring manner. Â
Expected Schedule-Â 2nd
Shift- 1pm to 9pm- Weekends and holidays as scheduled.Â
Responsibilities and Duties:Â
- Oversee the service of the meal to all facility guests, managing volunteers and guests as they assist with serving- ensuring food safety rules and best practices are being followed Â
- Manage guest cleaning crews and volunteers ensuring the cafeteria, kitchen, and storage areas are cleaned thoroughly every shiftÂ
- Complete meal prep alongside the cook and cleaning/organizing tasks at any/all food service locations.
- Maintain logs of food and refrigerator temperatures to ensure food safety and accurate record keepingÂ
- Do inventory of the available items every shift- ensuring every item is dated, within date, and being rotatedÂ
- Communicating with all other Food Service staff via Email communicating needs, numbers, and other relevant informationÂ
- Attend all meetings and training sessions as scheduled Â
- Show the love of Christ, be ready to share the gospel, and pray with guests

Qualifications:Â
- High School Diploma- Required  Â
- ServSafe Certified or able to be Certified within 90 days of Employment- RequiredÂ
- Driver's License- RequiredÂ
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Suite- PreferredÂ

EnvironmentÂ
The Food Service Coordinator will need to be able to consistently work in a noisy and distraction-filled environment. The Coordinator’s task will occasionally require them to work in low temperatures, high temperatures, outdoor elements (e.g. rain, wind, snow), and small/enclosed spaces.Â

Physical Requirements-Â Â
The below listed abilities are required to be able to complete the essential duties of the role:Â
The Food Service Coordinator will need to be able to navigate stairs- quickly and proficiently navigating
up to 2 flights of stairs whenever needed. They will constantly need to be able to lift 25lbs in all directions and will occasionally need to lift 50+lbs in all directions. They will need to be able to complete 1-2 hours of physically taxing work without a break and stand or walk for 3+hours without sitting down.

The Food Service Coordinator will need to be able to constantly complete visual scans of indoor/outdoor areas in varying levels of light. They will need to occasionally complete tasks with repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. They will need to be able to constantly communicate clearly with others to exchange information. Â
