Job DetailsJob Location: 14610 ARCHER DR - LAREDO, TX 78405Heavy Machinery Operator / Maintenance Technician Commercial Construction ARIVA Group ARIVA Group is seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Machinery Operator / Maintenance Technician to support our commercial construction operations. This role is responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently, while also performing routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong equipment knowledge and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety. Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation • Operate heavy machinery such as Bobcats, loaders, excavators, and other construction equipment • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines while operating equipment • Assist with material handling, site preparation, and general construction support • Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure proper equipment usage Maintenance & Repairs • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment • Identify mechanical issues and complete minor repairs as needed • Report major repair needs and coordinate with external service providers when necessary • Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs Safety & Compliance • Ensure all equipment is operated in compliance with safety regulations • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment checks • Maintain a clean and organized work environment • Support overall job site safety initiatives What We’re Looking For • Dependable and safety-focused mindset • Hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving • Strong work ethic and attention to detail • Willingness to support multiple job sites as needed QualificationsQualifications • 2+ years of experience operating heavy machinery in a construction environment • Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance and basic mechanical repair • Ability to troubleshoot and identify equipment issues • Understanding of construction site safety standards • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
