This role is responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently, while also performing routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong equipment knowledge and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety. Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation • Operate heavy machinery such as Bobcats, loaders, excavators, and other construction equipment • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines while operating equipment • Assist with material handling, site preparation, and general construction support • Coordinate with site supervisors to ensure proper equipment usage Maintenance & Repairs • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment • Identify mechanical issues and complete minor repairs as needed • Report major repair needs and coordinate with external service providers when necessary • Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs Safety & Compliance • Ensure all equipment is operated in compliance with safety regulations • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment checks • Maintain a clean and organized work environment • Support overall job site safety initiatives What We’re Looking For • Dependable and safety-focused mindset • Hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving • Strong work ethic and attention to detail • Willingness to support multiple job sites as needed QualificationsQualifications • 2+ years of experience operating heavy machinery in a construction environment • Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance and basic mechanical repair • Ability to troubleshoot and identify equipment issues • Understanding of construction site safety standards • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
