Bilingual Medical Assistant (Spanish)
Locations:Â St. Petersburg, FL 33710, and Largo, FL 33777Â
Schedule:Â Full-time, Up to 40 hours per week
Pay Range $20–$22 per hour
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented bilingual Medical Assistant (Spanish) to join our busy OB/GYN practice serving patients in St. Petersburg and Largo, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, maintain a professional appearance, and demonstrate a positive and energetic attitude while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced women’s health environment.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care:Â Room patients, prepare them for examinations and procedures, and assist providers during visitsÂ
- Clinical Duties:Â Obtain and document vital signs, perform blood draws, collect specimens, and administer injectionsÂ
- Provider Support:Â Assist OB/GYN providers during examinations and in-office proceduresÂ
- Medical Documentation:Â Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic health record (EHR) systemÂ
- Patient Experience:Â Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced office environmentÂ
- Communication & Teamwork:Â Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff while supporting smooth clinic flowÂ
- Organization & Compliance:Â Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms while following HIPAA and safety protocolsÂ
- Additional Support:Â Assist with front office and other clinical duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Healthcare Experience:Â Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative settingÂ
- Certification:Â Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or completion of an accredited program resulting in a certificate or associate degree in Medical Assisting
- Clinical Skills:Â Comfortable performing in-office blood draws and other basic clinical duties
- Bilingual Skills:Â Bilingual in English and SpanishÂ
- Organization & Teamwork:Â Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a teamÂ
- Communication:Â Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and staff at all levelsÂ
- Multitasking:Â Demonstrated ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Technical Skills:Â Proficiency with computers, EHR/EMR systems, and Microsoft Office applicationsÂ
- Professionalism:Â Positive attitude, strong work ethic, punctuality, and compassionate approach to patient careÂ
- Confidentiality:Â Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive situations professionally, and de-escalate when neededÂ
- Commute:Â Ability to reliably commute to both office locations in St. Petersburg and Largo, FLÂ
- Work Authorization:Â Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the futureÂ
Preferred Qualifications
- Women’s Health Experience: Prior OB/GYN or women’s health experienceÂ
- EHR Knowledge:Â Experience with ATHENAHEALTHÂ
Compensation
- $20–$22 per hour based on experienceÂ

- Extended evening hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, and/or Thursdays until 7:00 PMÂ
- Training for this position will take place in the St. Petersburg office location
