We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our technology team. This role involves supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in systems administration, network operations, and cloud technologies, combined with excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

 

Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud environments.
  • Implementing system configurations that align with business objectives.
  • Performing regular system monitoring and maintenance.
  • Ensuring high availability of critical services.
  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Supporting system upgrades, patches, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of system configurations and procedures.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Contributing to infrastructure projects from conception through implementation.
  • Assisting in coordinating project timelines and ensuring deliverables align with operational needs.
  • Participating in disaster recovery processes.
  • Supporting security best practices and helping ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable standards.

 

Required Experience:

Candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in systems engineering or administration.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
  • Preferred certifications such as MCSE or VCP.
  • Technical proficiency with:
    • Azure AD / M365 administration
    • Hyper-V virtualization
    • Networking protocols/services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
    • IT ticketing system configuration and management
    • PowerShell or CLI scripting/automation
    • Storage and backup technologies in cloud-integrated environments
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, configuration management systems, or ITSM frameworks such as ITIL.
