Coming soon to the Las Vegas Strip, Hard Rock Las Vegas will be a fully integrated luxury resort offering world-class hospitality, gaming, dining, entertainment and retail. Positioned on the 50-yard line of the Strip, the resort will feature a nearly 700 ft. guitar-shaped hotel that will change the Las Vegas skyline. The finished complex will feature over 3,700 hotel rooms, approximately 175,000 square feet of gaming space, two spas, multiple pools, live entertainment venues and dozens of restaurants, lounges and retail outlets.


Job Summary: 

The Technology Project Manager at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing information technology projects across application, server,networking and physical infrastructure domains. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business and operational objectives.  

 

The Technology Project Manager serves as a key connector across departments, vendors, and leadership teams, providing oversight, structure, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle while supporting innovation and service excellence.  

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

  • Plan and manage IT projects and programs from initiation through deployment and post‑implementation review. 

  • Lead lifecycle management programs for the technology stack. 

  • Develop and maintain project plans, priority lists, timelines, task assignments, and status reports. 

  • Coordinate project goals, deliverables, and milestones with business and technical stakeholders. 

  • Write Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Statements of Work (SOW).  Manage vendor responses and lead internal reviews. Create executive presentations showing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). 

  • Facilitate and lead project meetings to review objectives, progress updates, risks, and dependencies. Write and distribute meeting minutes and maintain minutes. 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with vendors or when multiple teams are involved in a project. 

  • Review contracts and manage the contract approval process. 

  • Register vendors and create purchase orders. 

  • Conduct post‑implementation reviews to identifyand document lessons learned and improvement opportunities. 

  • Lead monthly project reviews with senior leadership to report progress and outcomes. 

  • Ensure projects meet defined requirements, quality standards, and success criteria. 

  • Focus teams on delivering accurate, reliable results that support customer satisfaction. 

  • Promote continuous improvement through evaluation of project processes and execution methods. 

  • Support innovative initiatives related to process optimization and emerging technologies. 

  • Manage vendor relationships including performance monitoring and issue resolution. 

  • Communicate project risks, issues, and mitigation plans proactively to stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrate commitment to responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service standards. 

  • Uphold Company values and ensure prompt escalation of ethics or compliance concerns. 

  • Perform additional duties and special project assignments as needed. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or a related discipline preferred or equivalent work experience. 

  • Past experience opening a large casino/resort highly preferred. 

  • Experience managing IT projects from business case development through final delivery. 

  • Experience working in cross functional, multi department environments. 

  • Experience deploying and supporting gaming and hospitality related technologies. 

  • Strong experience with project timelines, reporting, risk tracking, and stakeholder communication. 

  • Experience supporting innovation, technology modernization, or process improvement initiatives. 

  • Vendor management experience including ongoing performance assessment. 

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required Nevada gaming registrations or permits, if applicable. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Strong knowledge of IT project management methodologies and best practices. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft products and project management tools. 

  • Understanding of low voltage cable plant design. 

  • Understanding server/application infrastructure. 

  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business communication. 

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively. 

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes. 

  • Professional judgment, discretion, and integrity. 

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across teams. 

  • Adaptability in a fast paced, operationally complex resort environment. 

 

Work Environment:  

  • Physical demands include standing, walking, and noise exposure for extended periods 

  • Position requires occasional lifting and moving of items weighing up to 50 pounds 

  • May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including secondhand smoke. 

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
