Therapist (Licensed or Eligible) – Hickory Treatment Centers at 

Department: Clinical 

Direct Report To: Clinical Director  


About the Role:  

  • The Therapist will serve as a direct clinical professional providing individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Under the immediate supervision of the Clinical Director, Therapists will treat a selected caseload of clients suffering from behavioral health and addiction related issues. These clinicians must be able to perform biopsychosocial assessments, participate in multi-disciplinary treatment, and discharge planning for clients.

Job Qualifications:  

  • Master’s Degree and Current Indiana Licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PSY.D, LPCC) or License Eligibility
  • At least 2 years prior experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, with residential treatment experience preferred.
  • Commitment to client, family, and referent satisfaction
  • Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Professional appearance, aptitude, and attitude
  • Impeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relations skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
  • Computer literacy and ability to use an EMR.
  • Knowledge of “best practices” behavioral medicine treatment delivery and methodologies
  • Knowledge of MAT services or MAT certification preferred.
  • Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to understand the requirements of the clientele.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Therapist – Hickory Behavioral Center at Kingman  

Department: Clinical

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

  • Serve as a direct clinical professional providing individual, group and family therapy
  • Treat a selected caseload of clients suffering from behavioral health and addiction related issues
  • Must be able to perform biopsychosocial assessments
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment and monitor discharge planning for clients

Job Qualifications 

  • Master's degree in behavioral health or a related field required
  • Licensure issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners to engage in the practice of Behavioral Health in Arizona
  • Computer proficiency, including Excel, Word, and EMR, is required.
  • Must maintain a positive demeanor and clear understanding of professional boundaries with clients and staff.
  • Ability to follow directives explicitly, adhere to facility policies, provide crisis intervention, and exercise time management skills.
  • Completion of CPR and HWC prior to working the floor
  • Schedule flexibility may be required to accommodate patients
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Participates in performance improvement activities
  • Maintains a current license, certification, and registration as applicable
  • Contacts assigned client within 24-hours of admission and 1:1 encounters at least weekly
  • Completes Biopsychosocial, Admission Note, ASAM Level 3.5 Criteria, SUD Treatment Plan, and assigns Diagnosis within 24-hours of admission
  • Completes 1:1 Session Note, SUD Treatment Plan Update, and ASAM Criteria Update every seven days for each assigned client
  • Effectively leads groups and completes Group Session Individual Notes in EMR
  • Completes Columbia Suicide Severity Scale, ASAM Discharge/Transfer Criteria, and Discharge Summary-After Care Plan at discharge for each assigned client
  • Adheres to HIPAA regulations including procedure for release of client information
  • Follows policy and procedure when client requests discharge AMA
  • Reports safety hazards to supervisor or Executive Director
  • Performs appropriate hand hygiene throughout the shift
  • Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately
  • Assessing, Responding and Documenting Suicide Risks

 

Compensation: $22.00-$24.00/hr
