Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic sports medicine team. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse athletic population in a state-of-the-art, 17,000 square foot facility, alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to clinical excellence and innovation.

About Our Program

Our sports medicine program is built on a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and performance-driven care. The facility is equipped with advanced technologies, including isokinetic dynamometry and force plate analysis, enabling objective testing and high-level return-to-sport decision-making.

We are also proud to host an APTA-credentialed Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program, providing unique opportunities for teaching, mentorship, and professional development.

I.    JOB SUMMARY


The Physical Therapist assumes responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients and provides physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments in accordance with established hospital and departmental policy and produces, maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care.
 

II.    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care.
  • Assess the effectiveness of treatment and modifies treatment to achieve goals.
  • Provides care in accordance with the physician’s orders and established plan of care.
  • Assess educational needs of the patient, family, caregiver, or significant others and provides education to meet those needs.
  • Communicates honestly with others and discusses issues and resolves problems as they arise.
  • Willingly assumes additional responsibilities to support team efforts.
  • Actively participates in continuous performance improvement processes.
  • Willingly embraces changes that will improve customer focused care.
  • Performs care according to the population served on the unit as referenced in the Administrative, Scope of Services Policy.
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position

III.    JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required:  

  • Entry Level Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from accredited program
  • Current license through Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
  • BLS Certificate
