Job Title: Palletizer/Product Transfer
Reports To: Production Supervisor/Production Manager
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:Â
1```As a Palletizer, your primary responsibility is to efficiently and safely handle the sorting, stacking, and management of palletized goods within the warehouse and production area. This role involves meticulous organization, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Palletizer plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate records, ensuring the integrity of palletized products, and contributing to the overall efficiency of warehouse and production operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Â
Daily:Â
- Box Sorting and Stacking:
- Sort boxes by type and brand, ensuringaccuratecategorization for effective inventory control.
- Safely stack boxes on skids, taking care to arrange them in a secure and organized manner.
- Skid Assembly and Labeling:
- Stack skids with precision, tape top layers securely to prevent shifting during transportation.
- Stretch wrap skids that requirewrapping, andlabel each skid for clear identification.
- Skid Placement and Record Keeping:
- Place stacked skids in designated areas within the warehouse, following organizational guidelines.
- Keepmeticuloustrack of all skids and labels used foraccuraterecord-keeping and inventory control.
- HACCP Paperwork:
- Complete HACCP paperworkin accordance withestablished guidelines, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Clean-Up and Organization:
- Perform regular clean-up activities tomaintaina clean and safe working environment in the palletizing area.
- Sort good and bad pallets, takingappropriate actionsfor disposal or repair.
- Inventory Scanning:
- Scan finished goods into the inventory management system (E21) accurately to update real-time stock levels.
- Scan boxes and other materials in and out of E21, ensuring precise documentation of warehouse movements.
- Adherence to Safety Protocols:
- Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to supervisors.
- Flexibility and Collaboration:
- Be adaptable to anyadditionalduties assigned by the Supervisor to meet evolving warehouseand productionneeds.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TOO:
- Lock Out Tag OutÂ
- Follow all Food Safetyregulations
- Follow all common employee safetypractices
- Stay Aware of forklifts in the area.Â
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Â
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:Â
- Ability to read andcomprehendsimple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Bi-lingual is notrequiredbut a plus.Â
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Â
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:Â
- Ability to apply commonsenseunderstanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Â
- Forklift Certificationrecommended but notrequired.Â
