Job Description

When you join the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), you help advance work that supports family physicians and improves health care delivery. The Communications Specialist supports communications initiatives by developing and implementing communication plans, collaborating with program managers and strategists on larger integrated campaigns, supporting public relations initiatives, and evaluating campaign performance. The successful candidate is organized, manages multiple projects at once while delivering high-quality content and results that make a difference for patients and family physicians.

Required Qualifications

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor鈥檚 degree and 1-2 years of experience developing and implementing integrated communication campaigns.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽Strong writing and editing skills.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Data literacy and comfort with marketing analytics.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Preferred Qualifications

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Curiosity and learning agility, adaptability and initiative

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong organization and time management skills

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience working in health care, health communications, public health, membership associations, nonprofit organization or mission-driven organizations.
