Job DetailsJob Location: Quarter Mill - Richmond, VA 23294PURPOSE: To be responsible for the care of lawns, trees, shrubs, and ground cover so they stay in green, healthy, eye-appealing condition. Grounds Person is essential personnel during inclement weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain curb appeal. This includes maintaining both the condition and appearance of the property. Daily pick-up of trash on the property. Be dependable and flexible Be a team player Perform watering as needed. Maintain the sprinkler system. Use insecticides, fertilizers and herbicides as directed. Mow and trim lawns. Re-seed lawns and re-plant, if necessary. Properly stake trees. Pick up refuse on the lawns each morning. Weed lawns and all other planted areas. Properly prune trees and shrubs. Make drainage corrections. Maintain all sidewalks and steps to be free of snow and ice. To maintain safe ingress and egress for all residents. Assist in maintaining a safe work environment Knowledge and use of Safety Equipment Able to work in all temperatures and weather conditions. Able to lift 50 lbs. along and 100 lbs. with assistance Perform light maintenance tasks as may be assigned from time to time. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
