Position Details

Location: 11001 Three Chopt Rd, Richmond, VA 23233
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00–$18 per hour, based on position and experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday (hours scheduled between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
No evening or weekend shifts.

  • Model positive teaching practices and classroom routines.

Classroom & Team Leadership

  • Create a structured, engaging, and nurturing environment aligned with high-quality standards (e.g., NAEYC).
  • Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers and Aides, modeling effective teaching strategies and classroom routines.
  • Ensure all activities and classroom practices comply with Virginia state licensing standards.

What We're Looking For


Required

  • Experience working with children ages 6 weeks–5 years.
  • A caring, patient, and dependable personality.
  • Strong understanding of child development.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or GED.
Preferred

  • 1–2+ years of preschool or early childhood classroom experience preferred.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred or in progress.
  • CDA is a plus!
  • Experience leading or mentoring other teachers is a plus.
