Services Manager

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The role is responsible for overseeing all employees within the department, including Customer Service, Shipping, and Scheduling teams.
Key duties include ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements, as well as performing the following:

• Training, guiding, and mentoring employees
• Planning, assigning, and directing tasks
• Evaluating performance and providing feedback
• Resolving conflicts and addressing employee concerns
• Completing disciplinary action as needed
• Fostering teamwork and building a positive work environment
• Leading employees towards continuous improvement
• Ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
• Demonstrating exceptional behavior, attitude, and performance

In addition, the role involves:

• Monitoring departmental goals related to roll stock, board combinations, on-time deliveries, and product quality, ensuring targets are consistently met
• Attending regular meetings and contributing valuable insights
• Overseeing inventory management and warehouse stock, providing management with information on stock availability and item movement trends
• Communicating with the Sales Manager regarding any issues that may impact scheduling and shipping performance
• Managing the workflow throughout the box plant, from order intake to shipping the finished product

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of five years of experience in a managerial position such as Customer Service Manager, Operations Manager, or similar roles within the corrugated box industry

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and understand documents such as safety guidelines, operating procedures, and manuals
• Proficiency in writing clear reports and professional correspondence
• Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to both employees and customers

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and precision
• Skilled in calculating percentages, measurements, volumes, and rates
• Ability to apply basic math concepts to real-world situations

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions in various forms (written, oral, or graphic)
• Ability to resolve issues involving multiple variables in standardized situations

REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the corrugated box industry
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
