Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of sheet metal stampings and assemblies.

  • Conduct material, component, and dimensional testing throughout the manufacturing process.

  • Perform and evaluate SPC and process capability studies.

  • Complete Gauge R&R studies and maintain gauge records.

  • Audit and evaluate check fixtures and assembly fixtures for accuracy and proper function.

  • Prepare dimensional reports, identify quality concerns, and assist with corrective actions.

  • Develop gauging methods and inspection instructions.

  • Support PPAP submissions and other customer quality requirements.

  • Conduct process and quality audits on the manufacturing floor.

  • Assist with problem-solving, corrective/preventive actions, and continuous improvement activities.

  • Train production employees on proper use of gauges and check fixtures.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing quality, process control, or a related technical role.

  • Experience with measurement, inspection, and test equipment.

  • Working knowledge of SPC, Gauge R&R, capability studies, and dimensional inspection.

  • Automotive, metal stamping, or sheet metal experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and analyze dimensional and quality data.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
