POSITION: Maintenance Technician Intern

SUMMARY: Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of all plant equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for providing emergency/unscheduled repair of production equipment to support production. 
  • Performs scheduled maintenance of equipment as necessary. 
  • Thorough preventive maintenance checks will be performed on a routine schedule. 
  • Performs skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines and Facility equipment. 
  • Comply with ISO guidelines, OSHA Safety and Health regulations, and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Perform various building maintenance activities-inside and outside the plant

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently
  • Willingness to learn and keep up with current technologies.
  • Ability to crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at various heights
  • Good basic math skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of Lean, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a plus. 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Enrolled in Mechanical/Electrical field or related degree or a minimum of 1 year of equivalent work experience.
