Job Description

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Manage engineering capital investment projects related to material processing equipment.
  • Improve rubber processing department by reducing scrap, increasing labor efficiency and machine reliability, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Create, modify, and optimize material processing specifications and recipes in SAP and MAZDA.
  • Conduct new material trials including tracking, feedback, problem solving and recommendations.
  • Implement and improve production visibility and tracking through Power BI.
  • Estimate and analyze production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control.
  • Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
  • Problem-solve and troubleshoot based on fundamental engineering principles. Must be available outside normal business hours up to 20% of the time to conduct trainings and on-floor trial runs.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical/Materials Engineering, Chemistry,  or a related field 
  • 2+ years of experience within a manufacturing/production environment 
  • Hands-on production troubleshooting and operator collaboration
  • Strong communication within all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills

ADDITIONAL  WAYS TO STAND OUT
