Position Overview

International is seeking an experienced National Sales Director – National Accounts to lead strategic customer relationships and drive profitable growth across major National accounts and Truck Equipment Manufactures customers. Reporting to the VP of National Accounts, this role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, strengthening executive-level customer relationships, coordinating cross-functional execution, and delivering revenue, market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives. Travel of up to 75% is required.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage strategic relationships with assigned national accounts across all relevant functional areas
  • Develop and execute customer-specific sales strategies and action plans to increase market share, revenue, and profitability
  • Lead the customer relationship from opportunity development through the order-to-delivery process
  • Coordinate customer needs across sales, parts, service, operations, procurement, and leadership
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer leadership and key decision-makers
  • Identify opportunities to expand International's presence through new business, product penetration, parts, and service
  • Achieve established sales volume, pricing, market share, revenue, and profit-margin objectives
  • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop direct reports while establishing clear expectations and accountability
  • Coordinate customer business reviews, presentations, training, customer events, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Monitor customer performance and market conditions and develop corrective action plans when necessary

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 9 years of sales experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

  • Master's degree and at least 5 years of sales experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

  • At least 12 years of sales experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • Strategic Account Management & Relationship building – Ability to manage large national or OE accounts and develop trusted executive-level customer relationships
  • Sales Strategy & Commercial Acumen – Strong understanding of pricing, revenue, profitability, market share, and execution of customer-specific sales plans
  • Leadership & Cross-Functional Execution – Proven ability to lead and develop teams while coordinating multiple internal functions to deliver results
  • Heavy-Duty Truck Industry Experience – Strong knowledge of the heavy-duty truck industry, dealer/OE environment, and customer operations, with strong presentation deliverance
  • Ability to effectively support customers and business partners across a multi-state territory.

Technology Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Experience using CRM systems for customer/account management, sales activity, opportunity tracking, and reporting
  • Ability to effectively learn and utilize internal business systems, reporting tools, and other company technology platforms
