Position Summary This individual will perform duties to Train in the Maintenance and repair a variety of plant equipment. Duties include installing equipment , repairing and replacing machine components and maintaining equipment as needed, troubleshooting electrical systems. Take prescribed classes per HI-LEX Controls (JAMA) to achieve Journeyman status in prescribed time determined. Key Roles and Responsibilities Qualifications Perform preventive maintenance on all manufacturing and plant equipment. Work with related equipment including hand tools, measuring tools, power tools, meters, Saws, Welding cutting equipment, Troubleshoot mechanical & Electrical problems with supervision. Dismantle machines and equipment, replace defective parts, adjust feed mechanisms, adjust sensors with supervision. Install electrical raceways and bend & fit conduit with supervision. Work on special projects that align with class studies and promote learning. Perform any other job duties as required Use basic electrical skills with supervision. Assemble fixturing ,machine assemblies from basics print and drawing. Perform welding & cutting of fixtures and assemblies as required. Work closely with maintenance shift lead training. Follows Safety rules and keeps the work area clean and orderly condition. Education High School diploma required. 3yrs Related experiences OJT. Functional Experience Experience working on mechanical equipment. Some basic electrical skills Experience working with power tools. Physical Requirements Works in a Factory environment with noise from the manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving equipment. Exposure to electrical shock. Possible injury due to carelessness around equipment. Sometimes lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds. Sometimes works in heights of 40 ft.
