Job DetailsJob Location: Arkansas Heart Hospital - Little Rock, AR 72211Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: Information TechnologyPosition Summary This position is responsible for supporting, customizing and optimizing the PACS system(s) to assist AHH in addressing imaging needs, strengthening the revenue cycle, and caring for patients. Evaluates complex system needs of clinical staff and physicians related to the use of multiple PACS systems across multiple hospitals and clinics. Responsible for understanding clinical and business stakeholder needs, researching issues and designing and delivering quality resolutions. Works to continually improve the system(s) through upgrades, expansion and other process improvement efforts.   Looking for an individual that is excited about working for a company that is growing with a great culture and will be an example of living the Core Values of Arkansas Heart Hospital:  Highest Expectations in Quality, Excellence through Innovation, Accountability through Ownership, Resilience without Compromise, Teamwork with Results.   Primary Duties Maintains current knowledge of health reform initiatives, revenue cycle management, and patient care as they pertain to business and application/system needs. Coordinates with user liaisons, both clinical and non-clinical, to assess business and departmental needs and objectives (i.e., current business processes, compliance requirements, areas for improvement). Performs feasibility analysis and prepares project plans to ensure business needs are integrated with system design and functionality. Monitors and reports on project activities and reports on status within published timelines. Manages PACS vendor overall relationship, including licenses, contracts, issue resolution and service level expectations. Build relationships with external Radiology partner Reviews external study process flow and recommends areas for improvements Reviews Physician process and workflow for reading outside entity studies and recommends process improvements Plan and coordinate PACS upgrades and enhancements with stakeholders Communicates any software problems and issues to the vendor software development and support teams. Prepares test data, tests, and reviews system enhancements.  Leads integration and user acceptance testing and follows up with users and vendors to ensure infrastructure stability and application/system optimization. Prepares program, system and user documentation for enhancements.  Performs complex analysis and troubleshooting for various PACS applications. Provide Clinical staff training and optimization ideas for all modules related to the different PACS systems allowing them to improve patient experience Explains technical material in an understandable manner to less technically proficient users. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent professional-level experience required. Licensure/Certifications: None required. Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience developing, supporting, maintaining and/or administering information systems. Experience with revenue cycle applications, patient access, patient accounting and/or contract management preferred. Demonstrated experience with industry leading PACS and/or EMRs preferred.
