We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Area Manager to join our fast-growing dental partnership network’s (“DPN”) Dental Team.

Job Summary:

As an Area Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting multiple general dental practices within your region. You will partner closely with Practice Managers and their teams to support operational success, implement effective systems and processes, and help drive a positive patient and team experience.

 

This role is highly collaborative and project-focused, providing support across multiple locations based on the needs of the region. From implementing new initiatives and products to supporting special campaigns and operational improvements, the Area Manager will serve as a key resource to our practices and Operations team.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Support and provide guidance to Practice Managers and their teams across multiple locations
  • Assist with hiring, coaching, leading, and developing Practice Managers and team members
  • Support the implementation of new initiatives, systems, products, and operational processes across supported practices
  • Partner with Practice Managers on special projects and initiatives designed to improve practice performance and efficiency
  • Support accounts receivable and insurance aging cleanup efforts at individual practices as needed
  • Assist with recruiting efforts, including candidate screening and interviewing
  • Monitor practice performance and operating metrics and provide support and recommendations based on identified opportunities
  • Help implement and maintain best-in-class operational processes, including procurement and inventory management, vendor management, marketing initiatives, hygiene protocols, compliance, patient experience, and office workflows
  • Collaborate with the Operations team and practice leadership to identify challenges and develop solutions
  • Travel to multiple supported locations as needed based on business and project needs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Must live in or close to Michigan
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Five (5) plus years of successful operations experience in a multi-unit or multi-state dental services business, or experience managing a large single practice
  • Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Functional skills in general management with an emphasis on growth and operations
  • Ability to interpret quantitative findings, including profit and loss statements and practice management software KPIs
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to create a high-morale, highly effective team environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, and changing environment
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn
  • Ability and willingness to travel between supported practices as needed

 

Compensation & Structure

  • Compensation: $65,000 – $70,000 per year
